Built in 1881 Alton Mill is now in the process of being converted to an arts and heritage centre. Once complete, the mill will offer a mix of art studios, workshops, offices for creative professionals, heritage exhibits, special event space and a restaurant overlooking the millpond. Artists have already established studios in the mill.
